What's the dress code?

The dress code is cocktail attire; garden party glam . We invite guests to dress up for a romantic summer celebration in the beautiful victorian walled garden. Enjoy the opportunity to dress up and let your hair down! The more sparkle the better. Please choose footwear suitable for grass and garden paths (no stilettos!) and consider bringing a light layer for the evening.

Yes! The engagement party is child friendly. There will be lots of open space for your children to enjoy. Please be aware that there are ponds and open water within the gardens, so please supervise young children at all times. Please RSVP for all adults and children,

Is there parking available?

There is limited parking available on site. We encourage you to use taxis if you are travelling from the Bristol area.

Where should I stay?

Check out the travel section for advice on where to stay in and around Bristol. Please be aware that it is Bristol Pride on the same weekend, and accommodation may book up fast!

Can I arrange a taxi to pick me up?

Yes, check out the travel section for more information on taxi companies. You can arrange for the taxi to pick you up from the main gates to Barrow Court. You can also use Uber, or even reserve an Uber in advance.

How far is the venue from Bristol?

Do you have a gift registry?

No, we don't have a gift registry. We are looking forward to spending time with you, no gifts are necessary.

Do you have any details about the wedding?

We haven't made any plans for the wedding yet, we are just celebrating in the moment for now.

Are the gardens accessible to walk around?

Guests will have access to two parts of the garden. The "upper garden," where the party is happening, and the "lower garden" which is a quieter area to relax and enjoy. There are communal paths between the two which are marked with a light trail. Areas within the walled garden that are sectioned off are private gardens belonging to our neighbours. Please keep children out of private gardens. There are also formal gardens attached to the "big house" but these are again private gardens, so we'll stick to the walled garden. Thanks for understanding.

Can I bring a plus one?

If you'd like to bring a plus one, and we didn't mention them in your invite, please reach out to us and we'll do our best to make arrangements for them to join you.

Are my children invited?

Yes, your children are welcome. Please include them in your RSVP if you plan to bring them. Equally if you want to let your hair down and have a child-free evening, that's fine too!

How accessible is the party space?

The party space is within the walled garden. The ground can be uneven, and there is a ramp, and several steps up to get to the top garden. The toilets are a 3-5 minute walk away from the garden.
